The KRIMEL implements educational, scientific and applied projects in cooperation with partner organizations from numerous foreign countries and with the financial support of the international organizations and donor programs.
The PetrSU KRIMEL international activity increases the Institute competitiveness on the domestic and international market of educational and scientific services; it also enables the Institute to integrate into the international educational space via participation in a number of the key international projects aimed at sustainable social-economic development of the region.
The main projects realized by the KRIMEL of the PetrSU together with foreign partners correspond to our major higher and additional professional education programs, including management and business administration, power engineering, tourism and social-cultural work.
In the last years the following international contacts and projects have been the most efficient:
- SME support (partners: Joensuu Regional Development Agency, Finland; University of the Eastern Finland; Aalto University Business Incubator, Finland;);
- Culture and creative industries (partners: Roskilde Business College, Denmark; Lillihammer Innovative Park, Norway; Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, Finland; Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Finland);
- Energy management and energy efficiency technologies (partners: Oulu University, Finland; CENTRIA University of Applied Sciences, Finland; Narvik University College, Norway);
- Tourism (partners: Joensuu Regional Development Agency, Finland; the Center of Tourism Studies of the University of the Eastern Finland; ”Karelia Expert“ Tourism Development Agency; the Institute of Applied Sciences of the Northern Karelia, Finland; Klaipeda Business College, Lithuania).
Mutually advantageous cooperation with foreign partners lets the PetrSU KRIMEL organize thematic exchange programs which guarantee the students of the Institute the access to the vanguard expertise and the best foreign practices, they also can apply their professional knowledge and skills. The PetrSu KRIMEL invites leading foreign experts to lecture and to conduct training sessions; uses the up-to-date equipment and other resources of the Scandinavia and Finlanduniversities.
